Snowshoeing is an amazing and up-and-coming activity which allows you to tread deep into the virgin snow covered landscape of the Alps or Pyrenees without the experience required for off-piste skiing. Wearing specially designed plastic 'raquettes' (snowshoes) which spread your weight out over the snow you are able to explore a silent and majestic world of snow covered forests and frozen lakes.

We are available to guide individuals or groups snowshoeing who are already out in the Portes du Soleil region. Just give us a call to join one of our small, friendly, English speaking groups!

Prices:

• 4 day break: £585 (Dec 18th, Feb 19th and Apr 9th £665)
• 8 day holiday: £725 (Dec 18th, Feb 19th and Apr 9th £865)
• Half day snowshoe guiding: £30
• Ful day snowshoe guiding: £50

Includes guiding by Indie (IML), half board chalet accommodation, some picnic lunches and drinks, airport transfers and walker's lift pass allowing us to use the ski lifts to reach the best walks and snowshoe hire.

Our base for this snow shoe holiday is the stunning Portes du Soleil which includes Les Gets and the Morzine ski resort in the French Alps- mountains which are ideal to be explored by snowshoe due to an excellent snow record and easily acessible landscape. The Portes du Soleil is now one of the largest fully linked ski resorts in Europe with over 650km of piste.

Both Morzine and the Les Gets ski resort are excellent family ski resorts and both have lots of great options for non skiers.
We walk through enchanted snow clad forests, past frozen lakes and take in unforgettable views from viewpoints completely inaccessible without snowshoes. Using the excellent local transport links and uplifts when necessary we have the flexibility to find the best snow and gives us a varied itinerary for the week. Snowshoes allow you to access more remote areas normally inaccessible in Winter, getting us deep into the unspoilt and idyllic landscape.
